Position Overview
This is a hybrid role combining business development, estimating, and light project management. You will serve as the primary connector between freelance architects, general contractors, and WillowGrove—generating leads, building relationships, and securing new bid-build opportunities in the commercial and high-end residential landscape construction space.
You’ll also be responsible for accurately estimating jobs using our LMN software, and supporting the production team with scheduling and materials coordination. Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop relationships with freelance architects, general contractors, builders, and property managers
- Represent WillowGrove at networking events, industry groups, and association meetings
- Identify and pursue new bid-build opportunities, RFPs, and public/private bid invitations
- Maintain CRM of prospects and track sales pipeline
- Assist in strategy development to grow construction revenue and gross margin
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Perform take-offs and estimates using LMN or related software
- Develop and submit competitive, accurate bids on landscape construction projects
- Work with vendors to get pricing and availability for materials
- Create scope of work and handoff packages for awarded jobs
Project Coordination
- Help build project timelines and coordinate subcontractors and materials
- Communicate project milestones to internal teams and external partners
- Participate in job start meetings and provide field oversight as needed during launch phases
Qualifications
- 3+ years in landscape construction, estimating, or sales
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Understanding of construction documents and bid-build workflows
- LMN or construction estimating software experience preferred
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to grow a division
